Ranjit Kumar Katakam is a Senior Engineer with over ten years of experience in developing software for the telecommunications industry. He has expertise in designing and developing protocols and applications for various networks from SS7 to 4G (LTE) networks. With his extensive experience in full lifecycle implementations, Ranjit has a deep understanding of all phases of software development, from requirements gathering to design, development, testing, and deployment at customer sites. He is skilled at interfacing with customers and managing their expectations. Ranjit's specialization lies in various small cell SOCs such as INTEL-T2200, T3300, BENETEL, QUALCOMM, and ASTRI solutions. He has end-to-end knowledge of FlexRAN solutions and is proficient in the development and integration of LTE stack with Transcede and FlexRAN solutions. Ranjit has visited customer labs across the globe for troubleshooting, including AT&T, Intel, Facebook, Corning Wireless, KLAS Telecom, and Benetel. He has an excellent understanding of LTE network slicing, carrier aggregation, eCSFB, and optimization features. Ranjit has experience in L2/L3 layer (RRC/MAC/RLC/PDCP) development of cellular wireless technology LTE and has been part of the development of eNodeB. He has also integrated other eNodeB layers/modules to support end-to-end setup using commercial UEs and EPC Nodes. Ranjit has designed and developed PHY_SIMULATOR, which can generate the messages expected from UE to test MAC and SCHED. He has good knowledge of end-to-end testing with actual UEs and is excellent at translating the 3GPP specifications into a design/code. He also has a good understanding of LTE-Carrier aggregation features. Ranjit's past work experiences include working as a Lead Engineer at Radisys India PVT Ltd and a Senior Software Engineer at Global Edge Software. He has a Master's degree in Computer Applications from Nizam College (Autonomous) Osmania University, Hyderabad, and a Board of Secondary Grade Education from Sri Sarada Vidya Niketan, Nandyal. Currently, Ranjit is an Expert in 5G NSA/SA Integration with Benetel RRUs - O-RAN. His technical skills include integration, test, software engineer, and senior software engineer. With 14.52 years of relevant experience, Ranjit is a highly skilled and experienced engineer in the telecommunications industry.
